The Pittsburgh Wallabies have successfully staged the 2004 Steel City Boomerang Cup, and in doing so taken home the silverware.

As previewed[*1] on worldfootynews.com, the tournament featured the clubs Philadelphia Hawks, Cincinnati Dockers, North Carolina Tigers, and hosts the Pittsburgh Wallabies. At the end of the round-robin series, Pittsburgh finished clear with 2 wins 1 loss, with Philly and the Tigers costing each other a chance to claim the title, fighting out a tough draw. Cincinnati, having a tough year, finished with just the one win, ironically against the overall winners Pittsburgh.

The tournament will have provided a good workout for the clubs, from the US east/north-east, with the US Nationals only a few weeks away. For further details on the Boomerang Cup, see the full article on USFooty.[*2]
