Based in Apia, the South Pacific country's capital, Kable will be responsible for many aspects of furthering the game there, such as developing a primary schools program, extending the senior schools system and helping grow the local footy infrastructure. Kable has a strong background with the Australian Football League and Football Victoria and has a degree in Sports Administration. His placement is courtesy of the Australian Government AusAID program[*1] and was supported by the AFL.[*2] Samoa has a population of nearly 200,000 people as well as many expatriates living overseas, such as in New Zealand, Australia and the US. It was previously called Western Samoa, and should not be confused with nearby American Samoa.
