Port Moresby's National newspaper reports that Desmond Kaumu will spend a second season playing with the Cairns Cobras, while Glen Tom will move to cross-town rival Cairns Saints and Coolangatta-Tweed Heads AFC have acquired the services of Mathew Mondo and Junior Aria.
Both the Cobras and Coolangatta-Tweed Heads have recent histories in developing PNG footballers. The Cobras hosted four Papuan players in 2004, while Coolangatta hosted two players in 2002 and was the home of Papuan star David "Buffalo" Haro during the 1970's.
Cobra's officials fought off several clubs, including South Cairns and a Gold Coast-based side to secure the services of Kaumu, who based his decision to stay on the faith the club showed in giving him a chance in 2004.
