Meanwhile the Melbourne Football Club today announced that it created history at 11.34am on Tuesday, when it signed up its 33,359th member for 2011 - breaking its previous record of 33,358, set in 2010. This is a significant milestone for the club, as it strives for 40,000 members this year. This is the fourth consecutive year Melbourne has broken its membership record and it is still growing.
