The video referred is appears to be working again now (click on the link under the word VIDEO on the page linked to above).

Even with that small amount of footage you can see that there's plenty of players with a decent skill leave. It's such a tiny country. If it had 10 or 100 times the population it would still be small but you'd imagine it would have quite a few AFL quality players come out of there. Even so, hopefully one will still emerge in the next few years.

I always think of a smallish rural town, such as Heyfield - all of 2000 ish population, and we've seen people like Leigh Brown, David Wojcinski, Adrian Cox, Mark Stevens and Matt Ferguson over the last 10 years.

It's a small country town where every boy plays footy. Now - is there any reason that if some resources were put into Nauru with every young boy playing footy that we couldn't see at least 1 or 2 draftable players every few years.
