Thought Marty Clarke was very good yesterday. If his heart remains in the game here, I wouldn't be suprised for him to regain his pre departure form (perhaps that should be pre going home for his sister's wedding form) and go on to be ahead of both Tuohy and Hanley again. He probably has the best natural alround hand eye skills (though perhaps not the best kick), game sense and 'tank' of the three.

The highest level continues to evade Walsh, but surely his time must come any week now - and with all the wraps on Mooney I hope we can see him before the year is out. Also disappointing that Setanta can't get on the field.

At any rate the success of Hanley, Tuohy and Clarke* - from outside the draft system - at a time where good picks are as hard to come by as ever will have clubs renewing their interest in the GAA kids. Keeping in mind that like all recruits they take time to develop and a number of them won't make it.
