Catalonia didnt show up for the first game so it was registered as a forefit and a 50:0 win for Croatia

Concerning Knights v Catalonia match I suspected as much, Had put it down as a 40 plus points win anyway.

Have collated all the scores and results of 2010, 2012, 2013 and now 2014 Euro Cup 9's into a Ranking Scheme, but as 2011 results and scores haven't been found yet (Footy Record doesn't seem to have them) tho I could well be searching in the wrong place, I will not publish just yet.

In regard to the discussion about the relative strength of the leagues and their "success/failure" in the 9's competition, I think that most of the leagues/countries, even the smaller/less affluent are able to boast half a dozen or so good players so in 9's the drop off in depth of talent/funds is not as damaging as occurs in 16/18-a-side competitions/matches.
The Euro Cup 9's is very valuable event in that it enables the smaller nations to develop international experience without the floggings that tend to occur in the full side minnows v powerhouse matches (at IC's in particular).

There being no IC or EC next year let's hope that AFL Europe can maybe help coordinate 3 or 4 Internationals "guaranteeing" a sponsor exposure across Europe over the course of the year (careful to avoid any mismatches of course).

Euro Cup 13 was reputed to have run at a profit, and large crowd witnessed the GF according to all reports. Any indications from the organisers and/or fans about the crowd numbers and financial "success" for this year's event forthcoming yet?

9-a-side football is extremely important in the development of Australian Football for the reasons given previously, but there is the risk of the same outcomes with the sending of an over-developed side to a 9-a-side contest as sending an under-developed side to an 18-a-side contest. A big part of Australian Football is reading the ball and having the opportunity to set up defences which is normal in 18-a-side but limited in 9-a-side. The removal of rugby posts and pushing them back to the in-goal line would be a major improvement.
