Finals time in Britain

Europe The British Australian Rules Football League (BARFL) finals are coming up, and are being promoted in conjunction with the website Active Antipodean. Their press release follows. In addition, this weekend also sees the BARFL Regional and Scottish League Grand Finals. The BARFL website has all the details.

Active Antipodean promoting 2004 Michael Page BARFL Finals Series!

Looking for a bit of exciting local footy action, then why not get yourself down to the 2004 British Australian Rules Football League Finals series kicking off this weekend with games on both Saturday and Sunday.

All the BARFL Finals will be played at Gunnersbury Park (Acton Town Tube).

The Michael Page BARFL Grand Final on Saturday 21st August will form part of a Gala Sports Day, featuring the final of the Touch rugby Tri Nations Final, as well some guest appearances from some AFL and rugby celebrities, a boomerang throwing competition, half time dash for cash, a kiwi haka and many more fun activities will take place.

Anyone looking for some fun filled days in the sun to enjoy the local Aussie Rules finals in London, then get on down to Gunnersbury Park over the next three weeks for a cold VB Beer, a hot Vilis pie and a guaranteed great day!

Finals Dates: 

All the BARFL Finals games will be played at Gunnersbury Park in Acton.

London Conference games start at 12.30pm and the Michael Page BARFL Premiership games at 3pm. 

1st Semi Finals – Saturday August 7th 

2nd Semi Finals – Sunday August 8th 

Preliminary Finals – Saturday August 14th (note: moved to Clapham Common)

Grand Finals – Saturday August 21st
