NEAFL reaches climax

North America The United States' North East Australian Football League is coming to the end of its season, with the champions to be decided in Philadelphia.

The NEAFL season will conclude on August 21st with a mini-tournament to decide the 2004 champions. The league features five clubs, with the current ladder leader being the New York Magpies, after knocking off the previous top-dog in the Boston Demons. Next comes Philadelphia, Baltimore-Washington and Pittsburgh.

The 2004 NEAFL season involves a series of three matches for each club, leading up to the Grand Final tournament in Philadelphia. It sees 1st play 4th and 2nd play 3rd, with the winners playing the Grand Final later in the day. New York will go to Philly as the premiership favourites after their five goal defeat of Boston, the 2003 NEAFL champions.
