North America The Ontario Australian Football League finals are here, opening with the Qualifying and Elimination matches. This report from Steve Kleyer.
Qualifying Round

Toronto Downtown Dingos (record of 9-4-0) vs. Guelph Gargoyles (11-2-0)

Elimination Round

Windsor Mariners (9-4-0) vs Lawrence Park Rebels (8-5-0)

Guelph Gargoyles have never beaten the Dingos in regular season play. Guelph earlier in the season put up a good first half in their only meeting, but fell apart in the second half. Will most likely be one of the most exciting and close games of the playoffs for the OAFL championship.

Lawrence Park is one of the most experienced teams in the OAFL, while Windsor is a very new team to the league. Windsor is coming off the best season in club history. These 2 teams met in the final round of the season with Windsor winning 14.2.86 to 7.9.51.

Winner of the Qualifying round will play league leaders the Toronto Eagles, while the loser of the Qualifying Round plays the winner of the Elimination round.
