North America The two Toronto based clubs are through to the 2004 Ontario Australian Football League Grand Final on Saturday October 2nd at Humber North.

After going through the minor round undefeated, the Toronto Eagles had a week off in the first week of the OAFL top five finals series. Windsor were eliminated by Lawrence Park, while the Toronto Downtown Dingos knocked off the up and coming Guelph side in an upset. The following week in the semi-final round, the Dingos handed the Eagles their first loss of the season, sending themselves through to the big one. Guelph ensured they didn't go out in straight sets, defeating Lawrence Park by 1 point in the other semi, with Mathugh Vagg kicking the winning goal. Preliminary Final weekend saw the minor premiers the Eagles earn themselves another chance at the Dingos, scoring a solid win 9.14 (68) to Guelph's 6.10 (46).

This Saturday sees the two Toronto sides square off in the Grand Final at 2pm at Humber North. Hopefully all the other clubs will get there to make Ontario footy's big day one to remember. The Dingos will be aiming for back-to-back flags, while the Eagles, the most dominant OAFL club, will be seeking to add another flag to their impressive collection of 9 in the competition's 16 years (note the Eagles were originally called the Pathers). In other OAFL news, the Dingos' Craig Stewart has won the league's best and fairest award.
