Munich Roos keep the Oktoberfest Cup in Bavaria

The Munich Kangaroos defeated the Düsseldorf Lions by 17 points in the final of the Oktoberfest Cup on October 2nd, with a combined Hamburg/Copenhagen side dubbed the \'Northern Alliance\' edging out 2004 AFLG premiers the Frankfurt Redbacks for fourth. The cup this year saw four teams take the field, with six group-round games played over the course of the day. Munich went through the preliminary matches undefeated, with the Lions only loss against Munich.
The Lions got an early spring on the Roos in the final, taking a 12-point advantage into the halftime break. The Roos steadied however, showing some of the form that led them to the runners-up spot in this year\'s AFL Germany premiership.
