Players from AFL club Essendon will visit Japan for 10 days in December, as part of a pre-season trip aimed at developing their leadership group.
The Bombers have identified the need to improve their second tier of leaders, and hope the trip will assist in the goal. It will involve some physical training, but also living with local families and following the typical day of people in business. The eleven players will also have to navigate their way around the massive city of Tokyo. No word yet as to whether they will have any interaction with the local Japanese sides - let's hope so.
