DAFL release their new website

The Danish Australian Football League have released their upgraded website. It's the same address, www.dafl.dk, but has a new look and feel. You can choose from Danish and English by clicking the small flag at the top right of the site. Check out their great records database - something all established leagues should have.

Actually any league CAN have the same database - and even be hosted there. DAFL's results are stored on TheFootyRecord.com which is a site separate from DAFL's. We did this so the tasks of keeping the results up-to-date can be separated from that of running the basic website, which ideally does not change as dynamically. The Footy Record has been designed to be independent of any one league so that anyone could use it. The Stockholm league is also doing so now (see http://www.thefootyrecord.com/asp/latest.asp?db=SAFF, same site, different database underneath).
The idea behind The Footy Record is that you add the results to a game, and then all the other relevant info is updated automatically - ladders, goalkicking lists, player profiles, etc.
Takes a bit of input to get it set up but after that it greatly simplifies things.
At the moment there is no cost involved in this, although that may change in the near future. But the cost of using this database will never be beyond the budget of a humble international footy league.
Having said that there is no reason why a league IN Australia could not use it, too.
