As part of a night of celebrations for teams and individuals achieving national or international triumph in their sport, the Frankfurt Redbacks were awarded an Ehrenmedaille ('Medal of Honour') by the city of Frankfurt on February 25th.

Along with over 350 sportspeople hailing from Frankfurt, the Redbacks were awarded the honour for winning the AFL Germany premiership for the year 2004.

The night was an occasion held for Frankfurter teams and individuals who either won a German national championship in their sport, or competed in World or European championships.

The German Aussie Rules football clubs came together this past weekend for a national training camp in Fulda, hoping to galvanise their plans for a bigger and better AFLG.
