Papua New Guinea, one of the favourites to win the upcoming International Cup, are still searching for a sponsor to support their tilt at the title.
AFL PNG have been searching frantically for a corporate or personal sponsor to come forward and assist the Mosquitoes with their travel expenses for the cup, which will be held in Melbourne during August. Papua New Guinean born AFL star Mal Michael has taken up the cause, appearing on top-rating Australian program The Footy Show to appeal for sponsorship and show Australia the fantastic development work going on in the neighbouring nation.
Anybody who may be interested in sponsoring the Mosquitoes is urged to contact AFL PNG's Scott Reid via contact details provided on the front page of the AFL PNG website. Readers interested in Mal Michael's Footy Show segment can view it online at this site.
