The special relationship between the Geelong Cats of the AFL and the Farum Cats of the Danish Australian Football League will really show signs of bearing fruit with the visit of Geelong stars Tim Callan and Jimmy Bartel to Denmark and Sweden for the first week of October.
The players' visit, with the backing of the AFL, is specifically for footballing purposes. They will be taking clinics, both senior and junior, visiting local schools that have got behind Farum's junior programs, taking in some Danish SAS League soccer matches, and even doing some sight-seeing around North Sjælland. They will also spend two days over in Sweden taking clinics with the Skåne players.
This must be seen as a real coup for DAFL in general and the junior program undertaken by the Farum Cats in particular. Hopefully as many DAFL players and teams as possible will take advantage of this unique opportunity.
DAFL welcomes the boys and sincerely hopes they have an enjoyable stay.
