It was the Eagles eighth win of the season and it handed them the 2008 EAFL Premiership and the inaugural 2008 USFootyNews.com Premiership. This performance helped place the Eagles at the number one spot in the last poll before the USFooty tourney and sets up an interesting show down with top of USFooty's Division 1. The Denver Bulldogs held onto the number two spot finishing the season batting 500 but with huge wins in their last three games in Seattle.
The New York Magpies settled in at the third position with three loss on the season. However, they had two very close losses to No. 1 Baltimore Washington and a close loss to Boston. San Diego held on to the fourth after a two point victory over No. 5 Orange County in their last game a few weeks ago. The Bombers finished at number five with an up and down season that included some big wins over No. 4 San Diego and No. 6 Golden Gate. The Bombers were led all year by the 2008 USFootyNews.com MVP Kelly Nelson.
Golden Gate finished their 2008 season at number six with one win and one loss. Their victory over No. 4 San Diego in Conrad CA. Chicago had another excellent season although it started with thrashing at the hands of Nashville. United was able to get things back on track and finish off by thrashing Milwaukee on the road and take the 2008 MAAFL Premiership. The Nashville Kangaroos had the opportunity to win the MAAFL, but it was always going to be a big ask. In the end the Minnesota Freeze were just able to take the win in Minneapolis giving Chicago the championship on percentage. Nashville were led at the front by 2008 USFootynews.com Goal Kicker Chris Moerman who had an unbelievable 43 goals averaging just over six goals per game.
The Dallas Magpies finished their 2008 at number nine undefeated except for a loss to the Austin Crows in a friendly. The Milwaukee Bombers scrapped back into the Top 10 at number ten. The Bombers finished level on wins with Nashville and Chicago but weren't able to hold on to the MAAFL championship after Chicago beat them up at home.
