Louisville 2010 Nationals about to kickoff (and Austin for 2011)

The United States Australian Football League will kick off its 2010 National Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky in the next hour with matches taking place over this weekend.
The popular event is the biggest Australian Football tournament anywhere in the world, and attracts more than 1,000 players, officials and coaching staff, with a total of 32 men’s teams spread across four divisions, as well as 6 women’s teams representing over a dozen cities across the USA and Canada. The tournament in Louisville, Kentucky will also features juniors exhibition clinics and games, Under 23 and women’s development seminars, umpires clinics, a national administrators conference and the USAFL’s Annual General Meeting.
The tournament will be held at Louisville Soccer Park (Champions Park) in Louisville, Kentucky, at 2050 RIVER RUN ROAD (just off Zorn Avenue at I-71).
“We are once again excited to return to Louisville after the huge success of our ten year anniversary championships back in 2007. We can’t thank the city and sports commission enough for the support, including the upgrading of the fields by having them fully irrigated since we were last here” said USAFL President and Tournament Director, Richard Mann.
The USAFL are also proud to host guests from the the AFL (from both the men’s and women’s development departments), the Executive Chairman, Glenn Cooper, of national sponsor, Coopers Brewery, Ben Huffman from last years’ host city, Mason, Ohio, and from next years’ host city, Austin Texas, Matthew Payne.
The event sees five fields running simultaneously from 9 am Saturday through to 1 pm Sunday and over 60 games will be played. The DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIPS start at 1.30 pm Sunday, with the DIVISION ONE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL at 4:30 pm Sunday.
