Collingwood football club continues its love for the Arizona altitude this week as Dane Swan, Darren Jolly, Nathan Brown and Brent McCaffer headed back to the US on Monday and were shortly after joined by Dale Thomas. The theory is that the two weeks at altitude will aid the recovery of these players struggling with injury and fatigue problems.
The Youtube video below interviews the players about the trip and has some footage of the clubs preseason trip to Arizona.
Also the North Melbourne footy club has confirmed they will head back to the US in October. Coach Brad Scott (a former Collingwood assistant coach) this week confirmed that the Kangaroos wish to continue to give their players the benefit of the professional athletic atmosphere and lifestyle that can be found at the Winter Olympic training venue at altitude in Utah.
Meanwhile American Shae McNamara will remain in Australia, today named to play in the ruck for the Collingwood team in the VFL.
