With the third AFL Oceania Cup youth tournament set to start early next week - and perhaps to start the journey of some well down the AFL talent pathway - it is timely to remind ourselves of the tangible assistance we might able to provide even if we are far removed from the various outposts of footy.
In early November, the AFLCommunityClub site put out the call for 'FootyAid'. The aim to assist the AFL programs run around the Asia-Pacific region.
While a particular call was put out for footy boots sized 8-13 by the end of November - there is always a need for any of the following:
- Footballs
- Football Boots
- Sets of Football Jumpers
- Mobile Phones
- Laptops
- Cones
- Bibs
- Portable Goal Posts
- Umpires / Marshalls / Runners T-shirts
- Shirts / Shorts / Socks (in reasonable condition)
If you are from QLD and can assist please drop into your nearest AFL QLD regional office for collection.
Alternatively, if you are from interstate, please contact Doug Hale or Di Angus on (07) 3865 8700 or 0419 745 187 for assistance or to arrange a pick up.
