Rove Magpies and Central Coast Eagles in SIAFL Grand Finale
Central Coast Eagles have found themselves in a SIAFL Grand Final showdown against the Rove Magpies; after edging out a very young but determined White River Demons side in the preliminary final clash last Thursday. The Eagles 12.7.79 to the Demons 9.6.60 for a 19 point win at King George field.
This Saturday will be an exciting live football match between the two mighty sides which will decide the champion for 2012 (SIAFL) season. It will be a crucial head to head fight where Rove Magpies are looking determined to grab the title for their first time, and will go into the contest with the confidence advantage having defeated the Central Coast Eagles earlier during their qualifying stages.
But with the vast experience which Central Coast Eagles have, they are expecting to hold the title this season. No doubt they will be fielding an experienced side with the likes of Eagles captain Henry Platoon, Javvy Sarere, Frank Keni and Danny Mae to name a few. They are expected to furnish the whole team with the style of outstanding play and accurate kicking they have.
For the young Rove Magpies side they are confident that they are a worthy challenger. Their new breed of players are more than capable; look out for the likes of Junior Aisa, Frazer Piva and Kerly Kemaiki with their tricky combination of slick football skills and strong tackling not to mention their body size. The Eagles must dig deep to defend the Magpies attacking force.
