Melbourne Football club has issued a media release this afternoon to the effect that David Rodan will continue his AFL career with the Dees after being delisted by Port Adelaide Power recently. Rodan had tweeted earlier : nek minnit ...im a demon. Can't wait to get started #bringon2013 #thirdtimelucky #carnthedees!.
Rodan has been a key marketing tool for AFL Fiji, lending his name in previous seasons to the "David Rodan Cup". As an AFL multicultural ambassador, he has been heavily involved in activities in Adelaide including the David Rodan multicultural gala day.

The Melbourne Football Club has secured Port Adelaide midfielder David Rodan after paperwork was lodged with the AFL on Thursday afternoon.
The Demons secured David Rodan after trading selection No. 88 to the Power.
Rodan, who recently turned 29, has played 176 AFL matches, including 65 with Richmond from 2002-06 and 111 with Port Adelaide from 2007-12.
A dual Morrish Medal winner in 2000-01, Rodan was originally drafted by Richmond at No. 33 in the 2001 NAB AFL Draft. The Power then claimed him at No. 86 in the 2006 NAB AFL Draft and he had an immediate impact, playing 25 matches in 2007, including the Grand Final.
Rodan also claimed a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination in 2002, and represented Australia in the International Rules series against Ireland in 2008.
