Alex Benjamin from USAFL Weekly Report wraps up the USAFL ANZAC Round matches from this past weekend.

Cincinatti Metro postponed

The Cincinnati Dockers, the Louisville Kings and the Indianapolis Giants were set for a Metro tripleheader last weekend but the tournament was postponed because of a major severe tornado threat and nearly 4 inches of rain had deluged Point Pleasant Park in Cincinnati. These games will be rescheduled at a later date.

Houston vs Baton Rouge Tigers ANZAC/Ruggles Cup
This game has become now an annual tradition for the USAFL following the passing of one of Houston’s favorite players. Baton Rouge headed down the I-10 to play against the Lonestars. This year, Baton Rouge brought nearly 20 players to face Houston. It was a tight battle for two quarters, but in the end the Lonestars won the game going away. Final score: Houston 18.15.123 Baton Rouge 7.5.47

Cleveland Cannons vs Columbus Jackaroos
Cleveland Cannons hosted their first game ever in the USAFL as they faced the powerhouse team down I-71, the Columbus Jackaroos. From the outset, the Jackaroos served notice to the other USAFL clubs, don’t discount them this season. Columbus wins the game in a rout. Final score: Columbus 12.12.84  to Cleveland 1.1.7
