There were no games this past weekend, due to Memorial Day weekend. This week, there are four 4-quarter games in the USAFL.
1. This week’s matches takes us to Pflugerville, outside of Austin, Texas as Houston will take on Austin. Normally, this game would be played at Onion Creek Soccer Fields, but they are underwater at present
2. Chicago (3-0-0.) travel to University of Wisconsin Fields, Madison, WI to take on the Minnesota Freeze. Weather Forecast: Cloudy: High: 57f (14c) At University of Wisconsin Fields in Madison we see the first of home-and-home series between the Freeze and the Swans.
The last time these two teams played last year, Minnesota won by nearly 90 points. Depending on what the weather conditions hold, I expect a blowout by Minnesota if conditions are good.
3. Baltimore travel to Ben Franklin Park, Philadelphia Weather Forecast: Partly Sunny and Very Humid High: 89f (31c) This EAFL match between Baltimore/Washington Eagles and the Philadelphia Hawks should be a tight battle.
The teams played each other in a home-and-home last year with Philadelphia sweeping the series.
4. Nashville (3-2-0) travel to Columbus (3-0-0.) @ Rhodes Park, Columbus, OH Weather Forecast: 50% Chance of Thunderstorms: High: 82f (28c) Long-time rivals Nashville and Columbus renew their rivalry for 2015.
In all of the games played at Columbus, Nashville has never won a game. Expect another battle and maybe an upset.
