I hate to say this but seeing that standard and only going off the standard set by NZ and PNG in the IC GF I think that the US would be along way off competing for the IC cup...they have proberbly taken the game to a massive new level every year at there nationals but I would think that the big 3 are growing twice as fast as them..I would love to see some footage of the the big 3s National Championship(I know that SA PNG and NZs NC are not club v club and are county/province but most of the US clubs are 1 state clubs)..For all the footy experts out there what kind of grade does the US nc look like and how many levels down is it 2 the AFL

and the big difference I presume is the junior development/programs.

It's the Holy Grail for the US surely, to get a decent juniors program somewhere to allow some of their decent athletes to adapt to the game that little bit earlier. One of the recurring comments from USRevo's players we saw after visiting primary schools at Warrnambool etc was that they wished they'd been able to take up the game earlier to really develop the skills.
