49th Parallel Cup kicks on at multiple levels

This week Toronto will host the latest chapter in the long running battle between the local Canadian Northwind team and the US Revolution from south of the border. The last match in the official 49th Parallel Cup series was won in 2009 by the American team (by 50 points) with the Canadians looking for revenge this year on home soil.

International women's footy also gets another kick along with the Canadian Northern Lights hosting the American Freedom.

For the first time there will also be an Under 23 level match between the Canadians and the Americans - a great step for Australian Football in North America that will hopefully drive some younger blood into the 2011 International Cup squads of both countries.
