AFL Fiji reports that five 15yr olds in the Fiji Squad also played an exhibition game against the experienced Australian Indigenous Boomerangs team. As expected, the Boomerangs won convincingly over the combined under-manned ‘Oceania’ squad. It should be noted that this match was a 4 qtr contest. The ‘Oceania’ U16s squad did not include any PNG lads, and in general had very little experience. The full strength ‘South Pacific’ side will take on the Boomerangs on Saturday morning.
The AFL website reports that the Boomerangs had a massive win, Boomerangs 24.16 (160) def Oceania 2.4 (16).
