The 2012 Solomon Islands AFL season has concluded with a hard fought ‘classic’ grand final at King George school oval in Honiara. The Rove Magpies ran out winners of the inaugural SIAFL club competition.
Season 2012 saw 4 teams take the field. White River, East Honiara, and the Grand Finalists Central Coast Eagles and Rove Magpies.
Team | 1st Qtr | 2nd Qtr | 3rd Qtr | 4th Qtr |
---|---|---|---|---|
Rove Magpies | 3.1.(19) | 5.2.(32) | 5.4.(34) | 9.8.(62) |
Central Coast Eagles | 2.1.(13) | 5.2.(32) | 8.4.(52) | 9.4.(58) |
Rove Magpie 9.8.62 defeating Central Coast Eagle 9.4.58. The Eagles fading badly in the final quarter.
(top)The victorious Magpies. Hopefully no omen for the AFL Collingwood Maggies.
(bottom)The vanquished Eagles. Wouldn't mind that repeated this Sunday in Perth.
