GB smash Ireland in European power shift

The play at the weekend, and the formation and strategy of the squad is a real endorsement of Coach Charlie Kielty's vision for the team going into the next International Cup, and of the effort that the guys have put in at training, and on the two occasions when they've stepped onto ovals.

The camaraderie in the squad has further strengthened, working past all the inevitable rivalry of players from opposing domestic teams working together for the first time - and working well.

Also, a big thank you to Martin Smith from BARFL for much off-field support and graft, and Donal Mullen, travelling with the squad, unable to play through illness, but still put in a full games work at runner. He really exemplified the focus and commitment that is evident in the squad.
