International Rules "Dubai document" gives GAA and AFL food for thought

I'm pleased the rules haven't been watered down too much in favour of Ireland, though the handball restriction may hurt Australia a little.

But I do wonder whether AFL clubs will approve of the harsher penalties. They won't have a problem in terms of cleaning up the game, but they will be VERY loathe to lose their star players. I could see the clubs putting a lot of pressure on their players to be "unavailable".
