So - again, the strong hint being that there'll be an Under 19 tournament somewhat aligned to the next IC.
So strong a hint that Canada have already identified a leadership group of 4 players who'll be eligible come that time.

I'd heard that it was being discussed, this implies that it's progressing positively.

It will be brilliant to see just what quality of players can be lured, even for relatively short 'domestic' footy careers - by the carrot of a trip to Australia.
(on the back of A. the movie!!, and B. strife around the world, let's hope Australia remains a relatively 'safe' destination). One could imagine a few 16/17 yr old mainly rugby or mainly basketball players who have had a narrow exposure at school, but, are good enough to make the trip. (funding will be interesting, but, surely this is potentially more sponsor friendly??)

Because, then, if players have similar experiences to the Wolfpack, it'll increase the domestic numbers in each country who stick with the game, build the next generation of senior players and home grown coaches etc, and present a more compelling case for the Fed Govt to jump right on board with branding and promoting Australia(n Rules/footy) (as they have recognised it, as an 'export product').
