As noted, there are always these reports popping up in the Irish press. Reading the article and given the 3 year contract I was wondering whether they really meant he'd return to Ireland at the end of 2009. But then they clearly said "It is understood that following this week's meetings with Swans management, Kennelly will return to Kerry full time within the next two weeks". But as the update indicates, that's not what the Swans believe.

Kennellys statement "I am now back in Australia. I have returned to training with the Sydney Swans. I have a contract with the Swans until the end of '09. That is all I will say at the moment." doesn't quite put the matter to bed for me but if he is saying that in reference to what he might do next year then it does.
