I promise not to keep giving a running commentary, but ouch, it touched 45.7 C in Adelaide today. Combined with just 1.0 mm of rain in January after several years of below average rainfall, no wonder we're running out of water.

Meanwhile down in Melbourne the Australian Open tennis has had several players withdraw with heat stress with temperatures over 40. And the AFL NAB Cup is just over a week away. If we keep getting extreme heat extending into the year, and with the AFL season starting so early these days, we'll start seeing games either played in 35+ degrees, or cancelled.
