Try what? PNG versus AIS? I'm definitely keen to see that happen - it was great there was the Flying Boomerangs tour to PNG this year. The more games in PNG the better.

But many of these AIS players wouldn't be out of place in an AFL match. So if they played a similar PNG age group it would be very one sided too. If it didn't include PNG's young guns in Australia, it would be very ugly.

So in the first instance, I'd be keen for it to be an open age PNG side. But getting the logistics right would be difficult, so it would be unlikely to be PNG's best anyway, with so many in Australia playing.

With a couple of games together, we'll see how the AIS go against a WAFL side, Peel Thunder, in the next few days. Because I don't think anyone would argue PNG would get close to a WA, Vic or SA state league club just yet.
