IC2011 set for divisions and Women's comp

Still think it is a massive mistake to hold the next IC so early. Should be at least a four year break and therefore held in 2012. I hear the main reason for 2011 is that the nations closer to Australia wanted it then and they got their wish. Easy enough for them isn't it?
It is still early days for Aussie Rules internationally and all very amateur. The cost for the teams further away is enormous. Money could be better spent elsewhere, and even if the folks on the ground feel they shouldn't go, they also feel they have to for fear of being perceived as failing if they don't. Hats off to Germany for defying this trend thus far.
European nations got together and held a fantastic local championships. If the Asia/Pacific nations wanted another tournament, they should have been doing the same thing this year. We should be working towards the soccer model.

I think in North America, we are generally supportive on of the 3 year model. We don't have the alternatives to international football that other countries have. I would think that both Canada and the US would be interested in a Women's tourney, and even in the possibility of participation from state level development teams.

I would also be interested in a junior international competition for 2014. I think Canada, US, UK and Denmark, NZ, PNG, SA would be able to bring competitive U16 sides.
