Opinion - SANFL yields to Port Adelaide once more

What you say makes perfect sense, Brett, from a business view and from the view of safeguarding the success of the SANFL. However even though I grew up as a Roosters fan and therefore hating the Magpies, my heart says that an SANFL without the black and white prisoners running around just wouldnt be the same. In the end, I guess this is why the league voted the way they did - heart over head. Footy is a sentimental thing.

I know what you're saying, but I'd hope that the SANFL crunch the numbers better than that.

Power CEO Brett Dunanson was asked on Tuesday afternoon on 5AA radio what would happen if Port Magpies keep losing money. He said they won't. That's avoiding the question. If in 20 years when everything is different, and the Magpies are draining the Power, and the Power and draining the SANFL, then what? The SANFL wouldn't kill the Power, and we'd be
back where we are now, bail outs. It just seems like a massive conflict of interest to me.
