Pity the Oceania seniors fell over, and I know a Championships tends to generate more media coverage, but perhaps AFL Oceania would be better off organising a series of tests as occurred between Tonga and New Zealand in the non IC years. Fewer traveling teams each year for the same number of matches.
eg. Tonga v Fiji. PNG v NZ. and say Samoa v Solomon Is and Nauru v Vanuatu. 4, 8 or even 12 matches(3 test series) and only 4 traveling teams. Home teams could earmark any income generated for their away series the next year.
