Great article but here are a couple additions. Etobicoke Kangaroos have formed a women's team this year and 2011 is the inaugural season of the OAFL's three team women's comp in the Greater Toronto Area. Since there aren't enough numbers for 18v18, matches are played on a smaller oval, usually marked from one set of goals to the far centre square line.

Also, for the past month the Central Blues' Rochelle Allen has been playing with the Yeronga Devils in the Brisbane ladies comp in preparation for the Northern Lights' IC2011 tourney.

I knew the Roos were hoping to form a women's team but there was nothing new on their website and no info on AFL Canada's website, as with the girl playing for Yeronga, which is usually the case for women's football... Thanks for the update though. It's great to hear people are interested in the women's teams!
