NZ AFL’s Shaun Johnson in the NRL Decider

All these stories of Kiwi's benefitting from honing their kicking skills in the NZ AFL, and Melbourne Storm seemed to benefit from x-training with AFL clubs.

Would we see the day where Rugby and Grid Iron sides deliberately send certain players off to their local Aust Footy clubs for a season of training (if not playing). Or, is it already happening??

I recall the Wellington Hurricanes RU team playing a hybrid practice match vs the Wellington TIgers (Aust footy) club.
