How in heavens name does WS realise any correlation between Tassie and NZ?

More hard sell on the part of the ever growing Kiwi push to appropriate our code..

Wayne, Tassie is not only integral to our federated states and physically, i.e. geographically and geologically connected to our continental shelf, they actually command respect given their historically rich Australian footy pedigree and status.

NZ could just as well be Mars is footy terms and contrary to certain sentiments held amongst the more paternally naive in this country, they are a sovereign nation that shows little more than a novel interest in our code, less than that of Gridiron and Gaelic footy.

This sort of hyperbole is insulting to those i.e. myself. The notion that NZ should be compared and therefore entitled to leap frog domestically deserving footy demographics, of which there are many or to be mentioned in the same breath as Tassie, the NT, the ACT to name a few, is tacky and misleading and tantamount to cultural sacrilege.
