Great news that Gideon will be on Richmond's rookie list. Hopefully GWS will list Yoshi Harris (Nauru) & Brisbane will list Brendan Beno (also PNG) as well. However, I don't believe it is actually the case that Gideon is the first internationally developed player to make an AFL list. Winis Imbi (also from PNG) was rookie listed by Essendon in the late 90s/early 2000s.
