That's quite funny Brett.

These weighty subjects are interesting, but our most pressing concerns more often than not, are very local.

Regarding internationalisation, I simply open by saying it's bloody hard, and chances are, it won't end to much beyond where we are now: some small amateur leagues scattered here and there outside of Australia, struggling to maintain comps featuring the full version of the game.

But just because it's hard and unlikely to succeed, doesn't mean you should not dip your toes.

As others have said, inside 20 years, a lot has happened with almost minimal input from the AFL, who are only now starting to come on board, and even if their immediate objective is to find more playing talent, that's a start.

People have to accept that the early objectives will be low level, and easier to achieve, and something clubs will support: finding new sources of playing talent, especially if they are 195+ cm.

If that starts happening, if players start to make it from China and America (or even from India), who knows where it might end up.
