Aliir Aliir was getting talked up in the Herald Sun on Thursday morning - 194cm young Sudanese guy, born in Kenya, lives in Queensland and has been playing well with Aspley in the NEAFL. But didn't make it in at this point.

Noting in the AFL permission to train that at GWS Giants they have :

Joseph Redfern (East Coast Eagles), Dean Robertson (N Ballarat Rebels), Zach Williams (Narrandera).

So, two NSW lads, one city and one regional.

and the Sydney Swans :

Brandon Jack (Pennant Hills), Sam Naismith (North Shore), Dane Rampe (U NSW), Xavier Richards (Sandringham)

so they have 3 Sydney AFL players training with them.

No guarantees of course.
