So is Aksel the first Scandanavian to 'make it to the AFL"? As someone with Swediah heritage and a keen interest in what is happening over there (am a 'member' of Sodermalm Blues AFC) I think this is a fantastic piece of news. Hope to see more 'Vikings' playing the game. It has been played there for a long time now and Jimmy Bartel pulling on the jumper for the Farum Cats a few years ago seems ancient history. Was great watching Sweden and Denmark live in Sydney in 2011 - was quite an experience along with all the rest of the visiting countries we got to see. The French were fantastic and 3 of them had been playing for our home team Robinvale in the Victorian Sunraysia. I got a real kick out of meeting the French 'Eagles' (Robinvale) and having a warm-up kick with the Swedish team in my Sodermalm jumper. I know they were pretty surprised to see it!
