I note that the Styrian Down Under Dogs (Austria) website has a line (in German/Austrian) which looks a bit like the match against Croatia (listed in AFL Europe calendar for June sometime) is 16-a-side. If this is the case it could mean Austria is taking that giant leap in footy in playing its first full International Match. If that is the case I would hope that AFL Europe would place it as important to promote as Soldermalm Blues finding a permanent ground with goal posts.

Any body from Austria or Croatia confirm that the match will meet the criteria for the World Ranking Scheme???

I am really surprised by the degree of the result. Denmark are a good team and have been for a long time. They've consistantly beaten GB.I don't understand how germany could do so poorly. Watching their lesser teams in action they played a reasonable brand of football and it is 18-a-side, so I'm thinking a representitve side would do OK. Was there anything special about the day weather -wise? Did Germany get the side together they wanted? Did they make tactical errors like loading the team up with talls etc?

Yes, according to the website there will be a 16-a-side Austria v Croatia in June. So would qualify for rankings.
