I did have a look at the Scorpions website, and it looks like the GDAFL competition was a short 3 round season that started back in beginning of December.

Being able to run a local (metro style) league is just another small step in the growth of footy in the region. More frequent and regular games (playing for points) are imperative to lock in and maintain the enthusiasm of all the new guys (and gals) taking up the sport.

I wish them all the best and success with the continuation the GDAFL and hope to hear about season No 2 soon :-)

Did you see the photo of the Cheer Squad, looked like it was as big as the footy team!!!

That augers well too I reckon :-)
