This story looks like it could be about one 'elite' athlete tested/trialled at an international combine who has gone 'back' to his local league to learn footy and then see if he can break into the AFL via semi-pro Australian leagues/clubs. Good on him.

Two questions still beg to be asked, how many others are there, or is he the only one?
And, other than Irishmen, how many 'elite' athletes who were actually chosen from the international combines have actually played an AFL game?
