One obvious thing to boost the Vietnamese involvement in Vietnam and also boost the new Vietnamese team in the VAFA would be for them to do a tour of Vietnam and play the two mainly expat sides there. Could get a lot of media both in Melbourne and Vietnam.

Always a possibility I suppose - anyone from the Vietnamese camp reading this who can comment?

Fantastic idea for the Aussie-Vietnamese to do a tour to vietnam, most off the boys in our side were born here and it would give them an opportunity to see the place where their parents grew up. Iam currently putting together plans to gather support for this to happen, as you can imagine most off the boys are young and wont have the financials to travel, but the Vietnamese community is large here in Melbourne so i dont think its going to be too hard to find the sponsors required.

There is still alot off work to be done in regards to the structure off what we ultimately want to acheive but i believe we already have made major inroads. Vietnamese community leaders, business as well as vietnamese media have already put up their hands to offer us any further support.
