Great article and I hope we hear more from him at Sturt.
It's this sort of story that most Australians are ignorant of; the nuts and bolts story of someone loving our game in an Australian Football vacuum and rising to local semi-pro level; playing in a champion league that has no facilities and travels wider than some Australian country leagues.

Yet, most Australians, if they do have any opinion on the growth of Aussies Rules is that the AFL is somehow "pushing" it's game onto the world. It's usually quite tiresome to hold a conversation with Australians on this matter. "Australian Football...not soccer...in a club...in a league....playing other countries.....no, expats are limited"
